armed forces day 2010

Cardiff hosts Armed Forces Day 2010

On Saturday 26 June 2010 Cardiff, the capital city for Wales will be proud hosts of the second Armed Forces Day national event, supported by the Welsh Assembly Government, Cardiff Council and the Ministry Of Defence.

Lord Mayor of Cardiff, Cllr Brian Griffiths, said:

Armed Forces day 2010 promises to be a day to remember in Cardiff, the event will be a chance for us to show our support to the brave service men and women, with past present and future troops being honoured. Those who have lost their lives in conflict will also be remembered.

The day will feature a variety of activities, including, a parade, live music, fly pass and much much more.

It's fantastic for Cardiff and Wales as a whole to be given the opportunity to host the national event and our aim is to have an Armed Forces Day that Cardiff, Wales and of course the UK can be proud of.

Show Your Support and join us for a day that will be full of ceremony, commemoration excitement and most importantly an opportunity to honor the forces past, present and future.
